Automation

Industrial automation has an important and obvious function in many processors. Automation means that the valve is provided with a control element (actuator) that regulates the position of the valve. This increases productivity and profitability and contributes to higher quality, more flexibility and higher safety. Industrial automation enables companies to operate a manufacturing facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We help our customers choose the automation solution that, together with our valves, provides the best possible function. Contant us or book a meeting with one of our technical specialists.

Our different actuators, I/P converters and positioners

To control our valves, Ramén Valves offers various types of automation such as positioners, pneumatic actuators, electric actuators, and I/P converters from well-known manufacturers such as Rotork, PMW, Control Air, and AUMA. They have all been tested together with our valves and approved by us.

Electric actuators

Ramén Valves offers high-quality electric actuators from well-known manufacturers and market-leading brands (eg Oden Control, Auma, Rotork Sweden (Remote Control). We provide actuators for all different power needs (24-400 VAC/VDC). These actuators can also offer various communication protocols (bus systems) such as Foundation Field Bus, Profibus, Modbus, HART and wireless configuration. Some actuators have optional positioners, while others have built-in positioners.

I/P converter

I/P converters are used to convert an analog signal (4-20 mA) to a proportional linear pneumatic output (3-15 psig). This type of device is called an I/P converter because it converts a current signal (I) into a pressure signal (P).

Pneumatic actuators

Pneumatic actuators use compressed air to generate mechanical force that can control the valves. They are the most widely used actuators in all different industries and often meet the process requirements. They provide precise and stable control and require minimal maintenance. Ramén Valves supplies a variety of high-quality pneumatic actuators from well-known brands (eg AirTorque, Wirematic and Rotork). Find our pneumatic actuators here.

Positioners

Positioners are used to regulate the air charge pressure on the valve actuators. A positioner forces the actuator to move the valve until the desired position is achieved and balanced according to the output signal from the controller. The control signal to the positioner can be electric or pneumatic. They can be 3-15 psi, 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, digital or have different protocols such as HART or Profibus.
